South East Division 1 - East
Tunbridge Wells Women's 1st XI are raring to go this season after having a successful 2024/25 season, finishing 6th in the league. Our Women's 1st XI are placed in South East Women’s Division 1 East, with promotion to the Premier Division the goal. This season will see our women facing familiar opposition as well as some new teams, an exciting prospect to showcase the talent in the team. This season, David Judge, takes on the role of Women's 1st XI team coach, with his knowledge of our talented juniors that have progressed through our academy set up, he is keen to blend senior and junior players into a strong competitive squad.
Tunbridge Wells’ home matches are at Kent College, Pembury and occasionally Hawkenbury. Training is every Wednesday from 7:30-9pm at KCP for the Elite squads. Club training is on Tuesdays at Hawkenbury 7:00-8:30pm and our talented players will be spotted here and given opportunity to train with the elite squads by the coaches when they are ready.
This season, as in previous years, fitness trackers are used in matches and in training. The data is analysed and has helped to improve fitness of each player. We want our players to be skilful but to have the stamina and speed needed for the high standard we are demanding.
Our team is made up of a mix of experienced players and talented juniors who have made their way through the junior section of our club and women's teams to reach the pinnacle of the 1st XI.
We are keen to attract all players to the club, and can promise those with talent, dedication, and commitment a chance to play exciting and rewarding hockey.
