TRAINING
Training takes place on Sunday mornings at two main locations. Tonbridge School and Kent College, Pembury
Below is an overview of normal training times and locations for each group. However, this can vary from week to week as we fit in matches and adjust to other factors. You should see a schedule for your group in the pitchero app. It is important that you set your availability in the pitchero app for both training and matches.
Tonbridge School – Tonbridge School Sports Centre – Hildenborough Road, Tonbridge, Kent. TN10 3AD
Foundation pitch (left as you go down the hill)
9.15 to 10.30 - U9/10 boys and U11/12 boys
10.30 to 11.45 - U13 Girls
11.45 to 1pm - U15/16 girls
Rowans pitch (right as you go down the hill)
9.15 to 10.30 - U11 Girls
10.30 to 11.45 - U14 Girls
11.45 to 1pm - U12 Girls
Thomas's pitch (through the gate and turn right)
9.30 to 10.30 - U8 Mixed
10.30 to 11.45 - U9/10 Girls
Cage (end of the foundation pitch) - Goalkeepers
9.15 - 10.30 am - Up to U12
U13 up: 10.30 - 12.00
Kent College – Old Church Road, Pembury, Tunbridge Wells, Kent. TN2 4AX
10.00 to 11.15am - U13/14 boys
Midweek Training
U15/U16 Boys - Tuesday evenings 8.30pm to 10pm at Tonbridge School
MATCHES
There are regular matches and tournaments throughout the season:
U8's to U12's
Play monthly Kent Triangular fixtures (usually from October onwards). These are both home and away and are usually 7-a-side on half pitches. It is imperative that you set accurate availability on Pitchero to participate in these fixtures.
U14's to U16's
Play 11-a-side fixtures once or twice a month in different tier ability levels with a number of different tier level teams per age group so plenty of opportunities for match play experience at the right level.
Frozen Pitches and Cancellations
Inevitably during the season, there are alterations to training plans and matches. We will try to keep players and parents in touch through the pitchero system so it is worth downloading the app and checking it for changes.
More specifically, as we approach winter there is a risk of cancellation because of frozen pitches. We will try to arrange alternative actvities (eg fitness, strategy, skills). We will normally do pitch inspections early on a Sunday morning and keep everybody informed.
