6. England Hockey Talent System and Talent Centres

The Talent System, introduced in 2021, is England Hockey's structure to provide an environment that helps all junior players realise their potential, whether that means they are the best club player they can be, seek a lifelong commitment to the game through coaching or volunteering or perhaps go on to represent England or Great Britain at junior or senior level.

A Talent Centre club is a club that provides high quality provision for players at early talent development level (Talent Foundations). This provision will be embedded within the club’s junior programme. Talent Centre accreditation recognises the quality of a club’s talent development environment and provision, not individual players.

England Hockey will recognise, through accreditation, environments within the Talent System that provide high quality talent development.

Tunbridge Wells HC is delighted to been selected as one of the second cohort of clubs to work towards Talent Centre accreditation within the Talent System which process we will undertake over a period of months working with EH and starting in the autumn of 2022.
