With the highly anticipated derby game against nearby locals, Maidstone. We made it clear to exMaidstone player Corrie, that the rules are, you are suppose to score against your old club. This will show through and through that you are a Tunbridge Wells Ladies 3's player. Bless her cotton socks, she tried and she tried. She even ran after a ball, tripping and showing the whole team, that she, Corri, was still able to do the break dance move, known as "The Worm". Very impressive, we all thought, as we gathered ourselves off the floor from laughing. This move did earn her the DOD shirt for the week. We didn't panic though, even when we lost our goal keeper to a green card! Yes you read that right, our church mouse, goal keeper, Pothy, just couldn't keep her mouth shut and took the wroth of the Maidstone umpire in a 2 minute sideline sit out, (Her first ever card). It was a hard slog game, but we did feel we were very unlucky with more than several (most) umpiring decisions. We just had to play on, even when we thought there could be fisty cuffs on the sidelines! Thank goodness our "Enforcer" Tanya was there supporting us and had to step in and say "break it up Ladies", in the only way she can, which stopped it all. We came off a little down in the dumps and we had not secured anymore points. We pick ourselves up quickly though and the Awesomes are ready for our last game of the season down on the coast and to drink a skinful of Champagne over Christmas. Ho Ho Ho.
