What a way to finish the season!!

What a game to put all that hard work over the season into the match.!!

There were top performances all round in the game. There were so many things to be positive about. We attacked as a team and not just with breaks, although we did have a fair share of them as well. It helps with our defence being so strong and the back line incl. the goalkeeper Ella were brilliant. Bruna played as she was awarded last week the players player. Strong in the tackle, with interceptions and intelligent passing she along with Marijke and Alice really commanded the back. Then the midfield of Freja/ Ava/ Luna and Libby dominated the game. They didn't let Sevenoaks settle in the middle of the park and so often chose the right ball to play on both wings which then brought Lauren and Isabela into play.

Ava was instrumental in so many good parts of the game with her driving runs and lay offs. These then often ended up with Tilly who with good pace and skill was a constant menace to the Sevenoaks defence.

At half time we were 2-0 up, but based on the balance of place i think we could have been 4 or 5 up based on the pattern of play. Isabela and Ava being the scorers. In the second half Sevenoaks started to pull it back and they managed to pull a goal back. Earlier in the season we could probably lost confidence, but not this time within five minutes Ava then scored her second and then within five minutes again with a worked passage of play Ava set up Tilly who hit a great shot that empathically hit the back of the board and was no more than she deserved.

Just a funny point to finish with. It is funny when you ask girls to play in a position that they are not used to playing in, but you give them the confidence at the start and let them then build into the game and then they flourish, yes Isabela i'm talking about you. And my last memory of that game and the teams season was to hear you say to me that i really enjoyed that. That's what it is all about, brilliant.
