Girls U13's Match against East Grinstead

What strides we have made in a couple of years as a team. When we first played East Grinstead they played us off the park and won 10-0. Since then we have been chipping away at that score 7-0 to 2-0 and now 1-0 and we definitely deserved at least a draw from it.

There were so many parts of the game that we played that showed what the team is capable of and when we put it together we have a good bunch of players. Several players played what i thought was their best game and this culminated in having a game that was competitive from start to finish.

Special mention out to Emily H and Amelie i thought they were the stand out performances perhaps with my Lauren. There were so many things that made me smile in the game that i am not going to reflect on what we could do better. One of the best things was Maddie through ball to Amelie it was brilliant it was just a shame it had too much weight on it.

Right at the death we had the chance with EG standing like statues on the line for a short corner Lauren panicked and didn't appreciate the situation and put her shot wide, when she could have boiled the kettle and made a tea, she had that much time. Another learning point.

Keep going girls we are getting better and improved so much in comparison to the previous game.
