Girls U13's Tri-Angular Tournament against Canterbury /East Grinstead

The two games against Canterbury and East Grinstead were always going to be tough as both had come down from the higher league and again we were playing girls that were U14's and not u13's.

Canterbury 4 - Tunbridge Wells 0

In our first game against East Grinstead we played very well. When building out the back we looked the most secure we have been all season. Showing great composure and appreciation of where our players were and which ones were the better options. We looked good in the first two thirds of the pitch, but where we did struggle was attaching we put so much effort in those areas we didn't offer enough support for our attackers. That said the girls created some great opportunities on on other days. I'm sure we would have scored at least one.

We two goals we conceded were very different one was well worked by the opposition the other was where we panicked and gave away a scrappy goal.

I was really impressed with how we played and as always the girls never gave up. Hopefully they will learn a lot from that game on how we can play as a team and work our way up the pitch collectively.

The second game were we lost 4-0 I didn't see but the feedback was that we started to turn on each other because things were not working very well and we gave away too many short corners adding more pressure on ourselves. We need to learn to win as a team and we also lose as one. We must look to learn from this experience too and how we deal with adversity together.
