The U16s girls played a friendly v local rivals Marden and secured a well earned 2 - 1 victory. Trudy opened the scoring popping the ball over the line after a goal mouth scramble. Isabella secured our second in the second half after many chances had either been put wide or were well saved by the Marden keeper. Our defence were stalwart and kept Marden at bay until an unfortunate passing error led to the Marden goal!
It was great to see all the girls working so hard for each other and they all got better and better as the match went on and as they grew in confidence. It was pleasing that work on the training pitch was being put directly into game play - well done everyone a fabulous performance!
