TWHC U14 girls home v Sevenoaks

On a very hot day the girls put in a strong performance against Sevenoaks in what was actually a more even game than the scoreline suggests. The first quarter contained a lot of midfield turnovers with players struggling to find space and one of these turnovers led to a nice pass through for Erin to score and this was quickly followed by another for Darcey. 2 - 0 probably flattered TW at half-time given it was very balanced with a lot of midfield play. The chat at half-time was all about being calmer on the ball, earlier & easy passes, turning out of contact and using the pivot pass to attack down the opposite side of the pitch and to their credit the girls implemented this beautifully. The second half saw much more control and with both sides tiring and TW using the width much more effectively which led to a succession of lovely team goals, a second for Erin, a goal each for Thea, Anaia and Niamh with her first two goals.
