I really don't like losing or blaming individuals, so with a bit of time to reflect, here are my thoughts:
- We need to train and warm-up like we play
- We need to avoid complacency, 4 wins does not entitle us to win a 5th
- We need to have stronger mental resilience when things are not going well
- We need to improve our decision making, especially over when to carry and when to pass
- We need to outwork our opponents and commit for the whole 70 minutes
But perhaps most importantly, we need to take personal accountability for our performance. Basics must be mastered, pre-match prep needs to be done to ensure we start the game at 100% and end it at 100%.
Our poorest performance by some way, let's draw a line under it and move to next Saturday with a renewed commitment to the above points.
