The Monarchs were on the road again with a tough away fixture to BromBecks. Accompanied by rain, we started the match and faced tough battles all over the pitch with experienced players on their side and youthful verve on ours ! Our rotating backline of Scott, Sam, Nick, Ethan, Ed & Angus gave us a very solid base and ensured a clean sheet. Half-time arrived with a 0-0 scoreline but with us having more clear chances. However in the 2nd half the boys came into their own with a totally dominant performance - they were relentless with excellent decision making, retention of the ball and passing that simply exhausted our oppositions. Old man Judge and middle aged man Hare provided support but did not need to play a central role. Finn, Zach, Toby and George added the legs and ran their opponent ragged in midfield. The goals were provided by our forwards - Sam Judge (an excellent deflection into the top corner) and Mack Crawford (a calm flicked finish from the left hand side of the D) and we were worthy winners. As a Coach, I couldn't be prouder of this performance, a sign of the future for TWHC.
