Win sends 3s back to the top

First of all a special thanks to Chris Page for surviving two games umpiring back to back in the rain at Kent College and Marvo for his first umpiring stint back out of his protective boot. It was not an easy game to umpire and we're all very grateful for their commitment to make our games happen. No umpires, no games!

In the game Jerry Giles was left free in the D after a defensive substitution and fired low into the bottom corner for the vets to take the lead. The 3s responded with two goals before half time to have a 2-1 lead at the break. In the second half another two goals from the 3s meant a 4-1 win, although the game was much closer than the score suggested. 3s' scorers were Grant Edwards with two (man of the match), Martin Powell and Tom Fantom picking up one each.

The 3s take a three point lead at the top of the table, with a game in hand, to Hawkenbury next week.
