Our Flyerz have earned themselves further recognition - this time they have won the Kent Sport 2019 KUDOS Award for community sport.

We are humbled and grateful to have won this award against some very stiff competition. It is a testament to all our Flyerz players and their parents and of course to our volunteers. Our players are continuing to earn recognition for their progression and development, highlighting the abilities that they each have and the difference that can be made to their and their families' lives when given the opportunity to participate in normalised activities in the community. This award is further recognition of this and we are very proud of them all.

As a club, we look forward to using this win over the next year to help grow awareness and participation for disabled sport generally, not just for our Flyerz, in Tunbridge Wells and more widely in Kent. Our Flyerz have two exciting initiatives lined up already in the next couple of months - so watch this space!

As Kent Sport have reported "Attendees at the annual Everyday Active Conference had a chance to vote for the winner from the three finalist projects and after a close race, Flyerz emerged slightly ahead of the two runners-up – Hawkinge Hurricanes and Maidstone United Raiders. We received a record number of entries in 2019 and the standard of the projects was extremely high. Kent Sport would like to thank all who entered and demonstrated the incredible work of people and organisations across the county."

You can see the video that was presented to the conference and voted on here along with details of the fantastic projects run at Hawkinge and Maidstone.
