Juniors

The club has a thriving junior section – with more than 18 teams, and we now have the ClubsFirst Accreditation from England Hockey which recognises the quality and depth of the club, especially at junior level. Coaching is held on Sunday mornings on the astros at Tonbridge School, and occasionally at Hawkenbury; the times and locations vary so you need to check on the training/teamsheet each week. There are also matches and tournaments, which are played throughout the season.
Parental consent forms must be filled in before you can come to training; the parental consent form is now a part of the membership form.
Fixtures
We will be entering teams at U18, U16 and U14 for both boys and girls in Kent leagues; U12 and U10 will play in monthly triangular tournaments. Details of junior fixtures will be updated as they emerge. Details of maps for away fixtures and playing colours of oppositions are posted on the Away Maps page
Training
Training for juniors (U16 and below) is on Sunday mornings, mostly on the three Tonbridge School astros. See Juniors Training for more detail. Time vary each week and are posted on the junior teamsheet.
Stop Press
There are often changes to training and match arrangements after the teamsheet has been posted, especially when there is inclement weather. Any changes will be posted on the stop press pages.

Calling all Parents
I would like to arrange a seminar for interested parents on the rules of hockey (especially the new rules due to come in this season). This is partly with a view to broadening your understanding of what your children are doing, but also in the hope that I might persuade a few of you to do some light umpiring! At U13/12/11, it is really not too difficult - I promise not to throw you into U18 boys matches! Either late August or early September. Could anybody interested please contact the Junior Coordinator
Junior Development Centre - South West Kent JDC
TWHC runs the local junior development centre in partnership with Sevenoaks Hockey Club. The JDCs are the next step on the ladder towards representative hockey (county, regional, national etc). The JDC runs from September to December on midweek evenings at Tonbridge School. Assessments for boys and girls with birthdays in 1996, 1997 amd 1998 will be held probably in May 2010. For more information speak to Alec or look at the Kent Hockey website
Codes of Conduct
We have several policies and codes of conduct which are all posted on the website; for coaches, volunteers, players and parents and spectators. Please read. In particular, click here for details of our child protection policy.
